Over the next short while, I am transitioning all hosted email accounts to a new email server. This change is necessary due to a significant and sudden price increase from the previous email provider, which made continuing on that platform unsustainable.

The good news: the new system brings several improvements and no increase in cost for clients.

✅ New Email Server Settings (Action Required)

Effective February 6th, 2026, 8AM, your devices (computer, phone, tablet, etc.) will need to use the following settings:

Incoming (IMAP)

  • Server: imap.doumawebmail.com
  • Port: 993
  • Security: SSL / TLS

Outgoing (SMTP)

  • Server: smtp.doumawebmail.com
  • Port: 465
  • Security: SSL / TLS

New Webmail Address

📌 Your email address will remain the same.
📌 Most passwords will remain the same unless you were contacted for your password and didn’t respond – then we had to reset your password to backup your emails to do an email migration (copying your old emails from the old server to the new one).

If you are unable to connect you may need a new password.
The best ways to reach me will be in order:
1. via email (if you have another email account you can connect on)
2. text or whatsapp (289-257-6442)
3. call 289-257-6442 though my phone may be busy supporting other clients.
I will aim to answer any inquiries as quickly as possible.

Why This Change Is Happening

I was informed by my previous email service provider on January 14th, 2026 that they are nearly tripling their pricing, effective on my account March 1st (which is billed on accounts I have with them in February). This increase was applied broadly across their platform and appears to be part of a move away from offering this service long-term.

Rather than passing these costs on to clients, I made the decision to move to a new email platform that allows me to continue offering reliable email hosting at the same or similar pricing you are used to.

Benefits of the New Email Platform

This transition isn’t just about cost — there are real technical improvements as well:

  • 🇨🇦 Canadian-based datacenter
Your email is now hosted in Canada instead of the U.S.
  • 📦 25GB mailboxes by default (same as before)
  • 📈 Expandable mailboxes up to 200GB
Ideal for users with large attachments or drawing files
(mailbox sizes can be customized per user if needed at additional cost)
  • 🛡️ Spam & virus filtering continues as before

What the Migration Involves

To ensure a smooth transition without losing any email, existing messages will be copied from the old server to the new one.

To do this securely, I may need:

  • Temporary access to your email account(s), or
  • Confirmation that previously supplied passwords are still valid

Once migration is complete, I’ll notify you when it’s time to update your device settings using the details above.

Timeline & What to Expect

  • Migrations are being done in stages
  • Most accounts will be completed within days, not weeks
  • You will be notified before any action is required on your end
  • Email addresses will not change

Questions or Concerns?

I understand that email changes are inconvenient, and I appreciate your patience while this transition takes place. My goal is to keep your email reliable, secure, and cost-stable long-term.

If you have any questions, concerns, or need help updating your devices once the switch is complete, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
